For a small school in Central Asia we can count an extraordinary number of accomplishments:
We are fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (http://www.cois.org/), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (http://www.neasc.org/) and an authorized International Baccalaureate World School (http://www.ibo.org - the only school in Central Asia that has achieved this distinction.

Tashkent International School offers an accredited American High School Diploma and an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to students in grades 11 and 12. We are the only internationally accredited school in Tashkent and the only one to offer the IB Diploma and a College Preparatory education.

We are a full member school of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association, CEESA, (http://www.ceesa.org/) and members of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (http://www.ascd.org/) and the Association for the Advancement of International Education (http://www.aaie.org/).

In addition, we are recognized as fully adequate for US foreign service families K-12 by the US State Department Office of Overseas Schools—one of only 4 schools in the
CEESA region and one of the smallest international schools in the world to have earned this distinction.

Our school was designated a Claes Nobel School of Distinction by the US National Society of High School Scholars in June of 2005 and our graduates have been accepted to some of the best universities in the world—many of them on full ride scholarships. At time of writing, TIS has graduates attending Brown, Columbia, U. of Penn. Wharton School of Business to name but a few.
Our students in elementary and secondary continue to excel in the classroom, on the sports fields, in the arts and in the fundamental area of service learning and giving back to our community. Our students are fully engaged in their lives and the wider community around them, as stated by our Mission: TIS will educate students to become ethical, responsible, productive citizens of the world with the skills to think creatively, reason critically and to communicate effectively. As such we believe that student learning is the chief priority for our school and that all students can learn.
