Computer Lab

 

TIS emphasizes the role of technology in the classroom and beyond. The IT Coordinator and classroom teachers work together to integrate computer skills and programs into learning outcomes and subject curriculum requirements.
The IT labs at TIS are equipped with desktop PC computers, laser and inkjet printers, scanners, LCD projectors, digital video and still cameras, and a high speed internet connection. Computers are networked to a LAN server where students can save work and access programs. The computers also function as stand-alone units with their own software.








The lab has its own library of software to support curricula in all areas, as well as several multimedia programs for reports and presentations. All elementary classrooms have a few networked computers for class use.
