School Board

Tashkent International School is a not-for-profit foundation, registered as a 501c3, in the State of Delaware in the United States and is operated by an association of TIS parents. Any parent of a TIS student becomes an automatic member of the TIS Parent Association.

The School Board is responsible for ‘big picture' strategic directions, approving the annual budget and appointing the Director. Please click here to visit the TIS Five Year Strategic Plan . The Director, working together with the Faculty and Support Staff administer and run the school on a daily basis.

ThTashkent International School Board is made up of nine voting members, including the representative of the Ambassador of the United States . Any parent of a student at TIS is eligible to stand for election to the School Board. Board members serve for two years and elections take place at the Annual General Meeting of the Parent Association which occurs each year in April/ May.

Board meetings take place on the second Wednesday of each month in the school library at 6.30pm . All meetings are posted in the TIS Weekly News and are open to any parents of TIS students. 4. May/June is the transition time from old Board to new Board
