What does CCA mean?

Co-Curricular Activities. In some schools CCA is called ASA (After School Activities).
At TIS we call them CCA because we consider that all those experiences are part of curriculum and school life.

When are CCA taking place?

Most CCA are after school from 3:20 to 4:20pm
Some CCA are before school from 7 to 8am

Where students sign up for Sports and activities?

Parents and students (G6 to 12) receive an email with a link to the registration platform.

We have 3 CCA seasons:

  • Fall is from September to November
  • Winter from January to March
  • Spring from March to May
How are CCA organized:

Athletics: We have team sports from Gr. 2 TO 12. Most of our athletics are twice a week during the season.

Activities: Are once a week activities through the season. It can be Lego, Book club, chess, dance, art and craft…. At the Elementary school most CCA are activities so students can have many different experiences.

Clubs: Are activities or school projects taking place for the whole year. At the secondary school most activities are clubs and many are led by students and teachers together.

Whole year CCA: Clubs, Orchestra, service project… are happening all year long due to the nature of the group, may require a more intensive commitment and scheduling

When to register for CCA?

As a rule of thumb registration is sent around each school break as follow:

  • Fall registration is sent via email in the 3rd week of August.
  • Winter registration is sent via email early January
  • Spring registration is sent via email before the March break

The registration email is sent to all parents and students from Gr.6 to 12.

For Gr. 2 to Gr. 5 students are strongly encouraged to not exceed two CCA per season.

Preschool students are invited to try CCA in the Spring
