Hygiene and Distancing

We are balancing the need to regularly clean high-use surfaces and not putting to many chemicals on these surfaces. We will focus on regular cleaning of areas used by many students. This includes doors, desks, chairs, devices, etc. UV (ultraviolet) lights are installed in most rooms on campus to kill viruses on a regular basis. There will be no people in the rooms when UV treatment is taking place. We installed touchless sensors on all sinks in the buildings and added portable, touchless sinks near entrances of all buildings to reduce touching of surfaces.

ELC - Owlets, PS1 & PS2

Everyone on campus wears a mask covering nose and mouth (exceptions - PE, outside mask breaks, eating times)
Temperatures are taken at home, on entry to the campus and at lunch time
Health symptoms are monitored daily and recorded on a daily health card.
Students exhibiting symptoms are asked to stay home and use our virtual learning mode
An isolation space has been built for students & employees to wait until taken home or to a doctor
Within a learning pod, students will be encouraged to keep distance from each other as much as possible; reminders will be posted around school.
During recess or transition students will keep 1.5m distance
Students will have individual learning packets with any needed materials for themselves
All students and teachers have an individual bottle of hand sanitizer at their desk
Classrooms will be sanitized daily and all shared surface areas will be regularly sanitized throughout the day
Outdoor equipment will be sanitized daily

Elementary - K- G5

The MYP schedule has been rebuilt to provide courses by grade level as much as possible. Each grade level is assigned to a specific floor or dacha.
Students will be encouraged to keep a 1.5m distance from each other as much as possible; reminders will be posted around school.
Classrooms will be sanitized daily and all shared surface areas will be regularly sanitized throughout the day.
Students may only use their own laptop and digital devices; these may not be shared and need to be wiped down several times a day, as directed.
Outdoor equipment will be sanitized daily.
